About Your Coach

My heart can be found in San Francisco. I am a San Francisco native, born and raised. I’ve gone to school, worked jobs, started a career and a family all in San Francisco.

After graduating High School, I took time working in retail. I started as a seasonal hire, and then moved my way up to a Manager. During my 15 year tenure, I grew my love for people doing a lot of work in Human Resources. I always found myself seeing the whole person before me and giving those that may not have had all the skills and experiences a chance. At this time, I began telling myself, one day I want to help people in a big way. I attended San Francisco State University and got my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. However, it wasn’t an easy journey as tragedy struck during this time.

Why I Coach?

Early in college, I became a survivor of Domestic Violence. This situation happened on campus and shook my world. People often ask what happened and honestly I don’t know, because I shouldn’t be alive. This tragic situation made me more focused on helping people – but it got more specific with me really wanting to help young girls and women. I wanted to do everything possible by guiding them in life to prevent them from taking the same road I did. I began volunteering in Battered Women’s shelters and being a listening ear for women and their children. This is where I learned critical wisdom – everyone knows what to do with their lives. Sometimes all they need is a listening ear, and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My life took another turn and I was displaced in my role in retail. I could have stayed, but decided it was time to go. At this time, I was pregnant with my 4th child, and knew there was greater purpose in me to do more. In my new job, I met a woman who told me about this fascinating thing called Coaching. I had no idea really what it was – was it therapy, counseling, consulting? All I really knew is that it was something that would allow me to have a bigger impact on my world. I enrolled in the Coaches Training Institute and received my ICF certified coaching certification in October 2018. Since then, I am currently enrolled in their Leadership Program as well as CRR Global’s ORSC Coaching program. My hope is to use my coaching to change lives, spread love, and shift hearts and minds.

My Approach

 

I work with Individuals,  Couples, Teams, and Organizations that have business and life challenges that they are ready to take action on and do something about. When working with organizations I approach teams as a holistic entity where we shift the focus from the individual agendas to the overall needs of the team. My goal is through the unique business challenges that are addressed, I foster relationship building and facilitate the expression of the whole team. When working with individuals, I approach the individual as being fully whole and capable of making decisions for their lives and being responsible for their world. I support individuals through uncovering their unique leadership challenges and who they are becoming in the world. Through my nonprofit Goal Girl, Inc. I focus on teaching the next generation of women leaders so that they can ultimately live their Wildest Dreams!
